Cyberbullying common among adult workers, study finds

Cyberbullying is as common in the workplace as ‘conventional’ bullying. This is according to new research by occupational psychologists.

Researchers at the University of Sheffield and Nottingham University surveyed over 300 people, interestingly, they all worked in university settings (not exactly what we think of as cut-throat environment) and 8 in ten had experienced cyberbullying in the previous 6 months. Fourteen to twenty percent experienced it on a weekly basis.

In their weekly conversation, WHYY’s Behavioral Health reporter Maiken Scott and psychologist Dan Gottlieb discuss the findings.
