Springtime in Cooper River Park

NewsWorks photographer Bas Slabbers recently visited Cooper River Park to capture the arrival of spring. This beautiful park is often overlooked by Philadelphians who visit Camden County for only its shops and restaurants. But for those who live near the park, it is is a wonderful place to experience the four seasons.

Cooper River Park (346.55 acres) runs through Pennsauken, Cherry Hill, Collingswood and Haddon Township. Activities and facilities include running trails and tracks, recreational fields, pavilions, sailing and sculling on a large open water area and the historic Hopkins House on South Park Drive, which dates back to the 1740s.
