Convicted Delaware killer Tom Capano obit published

In stark contrast to the general public’s perception of Tom Capano the convicted killer, his obituary published today in the Wilmington News Journal describes Capano as a loving father with “impeccable taste.”

According to the obituary, Capano’s family celebrated his life in a private ceremony on Friday.  That means the funeral for the man convicted of one of Delaware’s highest profile murders happened on the same day thousands of police officers were remembering Lt. Joseph Szczerba in a massive display of respect.

The obituary describes Capano as a man of “impeccable taste” in food, music and literature.  Out of all the work Capano did as a prominent Wilmington lawyer, the obituary says “he was most proud of his work as Wilmington City Solicitor.”
