Collectible coins worth $50,000 stolen from truck in Northeast Philadelphia
A coin collection worth $50,000 was taken right out of a truck in Northeast Philadelphia as the driver was on his way to a coin show.
WPVI-TV reports the theft of the collectible coins happened around 9:00 a.m. near the Sears Auto Center at Cottman Avenue and Kindred Street.
Police say the driver was on his way to the coin show when his truck suffered a flat tire.
According to the report, the driver took the truck to the Sears Auto Center and went inside. When he returned, he noticed the front passenger window as broken and a satchel and bag were missing.
