Civic association members invited to zoning workshops

Calling all civic association members – the Philadelphia Citizens Planning Institute in encouraging members of civic associations across the city to attend one of its summer zoning workshops.

Established in 2010, the CPI runs fall and spring “citizen planner” courses related to planning and zoning issues. Philadelphians can take the courses to get a better understanding of zoning and the changes on the way in the city’s new code.

This summer, the CPI will hold six sessions through Aug. 25 designed specifically for civic association members looking to better grasp the new code and its affect on community organizations.

No session is scheduled for the Northeast, but one is set for nearby Fishtown, three will take place in Center City, and there will be one each in Northwest and West Philadelphia.

You can register for a seat in one of the sessions online and email donna.carney [AT] phila.gov with questions.
