A ‘lively’ event for preschoolers at the West Oak Library branch’s story time

Youngsters and their families are invited to attend preschool story time at the West Oak Lane Branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia, located at 2000 Washington Lane.

The interactive readings feature children’s books like “Can You Growl Like a Bear?” by John Butler and “The Little Rabbit Who Liked to Say Moo” by Jonathan Allen.

The event is hosted by librarian Elizabeth Pinder, better known as “Ms. Liz” to the children.

Pinder chooses books that allow the children to interact and respond to the characters. She also includes a music and dancing component with the reading.

“I try to get them moving,” said Pinder. “They’re a lively group. I really enjoy them.”

Readings are held every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. throughout April.
