Chihuahua taken in afternoon burglary

New Castle County Police are trying to figure out who stole the dog, a minivan and jewelry from a Bear area home Monday afternoon.

Police say the burglary was discovered around 3:15 PM after the homeowner’s 18-year-old daughter returned home to find the dog and the family’s 1999 Dodge Caravan missing.  Also missing was $37,000 worth of jewelry.

Police say the stolen minivan should have Delaware tags PC 159211.  The family’s dog is named Little-Bit.  Anyone with information on the burglary should contact NCCo Police at 395-8110, or text a tip to TIP411 (847411).  Tips are also received at the Crime Stoppers hotline, 1-800-TIP-3333.
