Chelten Avenue pizzeria robbed at gunpoint

A Germantown pizzeria was robbed at gunpoint Thursday night, police said. Just after 9:30 p.m., a man entered New Zem Zem Pizza in the 100 block of E. Chelten Ave., pointed a silver handgun at the employee behind the counter and demanded money.

Police said the robber – described as a black male wearing a red hoodie and black jeans – got $500 and fled westbound on Chelten Avenue. Nobody was injured during the robbery.
