Check out one of New Jersey’s top Christmas light displays
If driving around looking at holiday light displays is a favorite holiday tradition, then a trip to Cranbury, New Jersey is a must.
Keith and Marina Shaw will again put up a fantastic Christmas display of 120,000 lights blinking in time to 20 songs. The one hour show features a 36-foot “mega tree” covered in 48,000 lights that spins and spirals and a 1200-light pixel wall.
The couple has been putting up the lights for nearly a decade as a mean to give back to the community, both through the sharing of illuminated holiday cheer and through the collection of donations, all of which go to a local food bank.
The show will run each weekend in December with extra weekdays added on the final two weeks of the month for a total of 20 shows. Please note: there will be no show on Christmas Eve (see full schedule here).
Pulling over to gawk is prohibited. So, before making the drive, be sure to take a look at the strict parking instructions. Handicapped parking is available.
Those who want in on the VIP treatment can donate $100 (or more) and receive a detailed tour, parking in the family driveway and a chance to stand within the center of the “mega tree” as its lights dance around.
Friday, Dec. 2, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. (and through-out the month) – 128 N. Main St., Cranbury, N.J.
