Charges expected in Philly duffel bag body case
Police in Philadelphia plan to charge a man being questioned in the murder of a woman whose body was found inside a duffel bag.
Authorities say the suspect lives in the same apartment complex where 23-year-old Laura Araujo had lived. A police statement says charges are expected to be filed Wednesday.
The body of the recent art school graduate was found Monday in north Philadelphia with her possessions strewn around her.
Police say she had been beaten and strangled, and her hands and feet were bound. Her vehicle was found torched miles away.
Homicide Capt. James Clark says the victim was about to start a new hotel job and was moving. Police believe she was killed late Sunday, hours before her body was found.
