Center City PHLASH bus route revised for Welcome America! Festivities

The PHLASH Center City trolley loop will be following slightly different routes during the Welcome America! Festivities June 29 through July 4. Beginning on June 29, PHLASH will skip Stop 18 at Eakins Oval. Then, on July 4, to accommodate Independence Day festivities in Center City, the service will begin and end at 12th and Market Streets (Stops 7 and 24) throughout the morning, from 9:30 a.m. until around 1 p.m., when the streets will reopen following the traditional parade, and continue service until the usual 6 p.m. The Fourth of July parade winds through Historic Philadelphia from 11 to 1 p.m. Signs along the PHLASH route will mark the temporary changes. The distinctive purple PHLASH trolleys connect 27 key Center City visitor locations in a loop from Penn’s Landing to the Centennial District in Fairmount Park. The fare is only $2 dollars each time you board. All-day and family passes are also available and SEPTA’s One Day Independence Passes ($11) and One Day Family Independence Passes ($28) and SEPTA TransPasses and TrailPasses can also be used for an unlimited number of trips on the PHLASH trolleys, as well as on subways, buses, trolleys and trains throughout the region. For full details on fares, a list of Center City stops and park & ride discounts, visit www.phillyphlash.com.
