Celebrating end of Market Street improvement project

State and city leaders celebrate the completion of safety improvements on Market Street in Wilmington.
The project, funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, started in 2010, and was finished this past July.  The roadway was elevated significantly to reduce flooding during high tides.  Improvements were made to make it easier, and safer, for pedestrians to get to the ShopRite and other stores nearby.  Governor Markell will join other leaders in marking the completion of the work this morning.
