Caught on camera: graffiti vandals sought by Newark Delaware Police

Newark Police are hoping the public can help identify two suspects caught on camera in the act of defacing property with graffiti.

Investigators say a mural on the east side of 223 Main Street, the CSX railroad overpass and pedestrian tunnel on Casho Mill Road, and a parked vehicle at the University of Delaware’s lot at 125 Academy Road were all spray-painted January 7th.  Police obtained video of the incident at the Main Street building, which houses Primo Hoagies.  The damaged caused by the vandalism spree is estimated at $3,000.  Anyone who can help identify the suspects is asked to call Newark Police at 302-366-7110 extension 406, or send a text to 302NPD and a message to TIP411.  Clues can also be given anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333 or online at www.tipsubmit.com.
