Calm prevails at the shore

“It’s so quiet you can hear a pin drop,” reported John Bushell Jr. of Betty and Nicks Bait and Tackle in his daily fishing report from the beach, referring to the conditions this morning in Seaside Park.

After a cold morning, we’re heading to about 60 degrees today throughout the Garden State. We’ll have mostly sunny skies. Slightly warmer tonight, and similar conditions tomorrow, although temperatures will be a few degrees cooler. Some showers may pass through tomorrow night, clearing out for Wednesday.

Halloween still looks like a decent day. Clouds building during the day, but showers should hold off until late Thursday night, lasting through late Friday and clearing Saturday after a cold front passes. Highs will be in the low to mid 60s Thursday, spiking to near 70 on Friday before dropping back slightly to the upper 60s on Saturday. Breezy and cooler on Sunday.
