Call on the Mayor and City Council to close the ($5 Million) gap for Parks and Recreation

A message from the Parks Alliance.

“Join Us to show STRONG and ORGANIZED SUPPORT for Parks and Recreation at the upcoming City Council budget hearing. Commissioner Michael DiBerardinis will be testifying and we want to pack Council chambers with Park and Recreation advocates from every neighborhood in the city.”

City Council Operating Budget Hearing On Dept. of Parks and Recreation

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 2nd

12:30 – 2 p.m.  (or later) City Hall, Room 400

“Parks and Recreation is still $5 million short of the approved budget for FY 2009! Close the Gap in FY 2015!

“Mayor Nutter’s proposed increase of $500,000 for programming in FY 2015 is a good start, but it’s not enough. We thank City Council & Mayor Nutter for partial restoration of operations funding in FY 2013. NOW it’s time for them to INVEST IN PROGRAMMING and restore the remaining $5 Million!”
