SUEZ Water customers in some neighborhoods north of Wilmington should boil their water as a precaution following a large water main break in community of Bellevue.

The water main break was so large, company officials said it drained a large water tower. Because of the resulting drop in water pressure, customers are urged to boil their water for the next 24 to 48 hours.

Affected customers are being notified at home via the reverse 911 system. Suez customers in the following communities are under the boil water advisory:

According to the Delaware Division of Public Health, residents under a boil water advisory should heat the water to a rolling boil so that it bubbles constantly. Continue boiling water for one minute, and then let cool.
