The body of a West Chester University student who disappeared on Thanksgiving after a night out with friends has been recovered.

Shane Montgomery’s parents say the body pulled from the Schuylkill river Saturday was his. Authorities have not yet confirmed the identity pending a review by the Philadelphia medical examiner’s office.

Divers discovered the body in the water behind the Manayunk Street Brewery, located near Main Street and Shurs Lane in Manayunk, around 12:30 p.m., multiple sources told NBC10.

Karen Montgomery, Shane’s mother, says the family has done what it promised: found Shane and brought him home.
