Blaze rips through several homes in Cape May County

A fire that broke out late Thursday morning in Sea Isle City has consumed several homes.
The multi-alarm structure fire in the Cape May County municipality is in the area of 54th Street and Landis Avenue, Sea Isle Now reported.
Aerial video from the scene showed smoke billowing from engulfed structures. Authorities say numerous fire departments are on the scene.
At least two people were reportedly transported to an area hospital. Smoke was spotted for miles from the scene.

Firefighters continued battle the blaze as of 1 p.m. The cause wasn’t immediately known.
