Bishop names new leaders for N.J. seminary

Newark’s archbishop has appointed two new leaders to New Jersey’s St. Andrew College Seminary.

The Rev. John Chadwick will succeed Rev. Mark O’Malley as rector of the college seminary. O’Malley recently requested a medical leave of absence.

The Rev. Frederick Miller will become seminary spiritual director. Miller succeeds the Rev. Brian Needles, who is returning to Rome to complete his doctoral studies.

Immaculate Conception Seminary in South Orange has been training men for the Catholic priesthood since 1861.
