Bensalem man wins nearly $15 million playing blackjack

When you win millions of dollars playing blackjack in Jersey casinos, they won’t exactly be itching to have you back.

That’s the lesson Don Johnson is beginning to learn after winning about $15 million at three Atlantic City casinos over the past six months.

Johnson told The Press of Atlantic City that he’s thankful for his run of good luck, and that he’s not doing anything illegal at the casinos. It’s all just a matter of luck, he said, according to the Associated Press.

Johnson said that he won $4.23 million at Caesars Atlantic City in December and an additional $5 million or so at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa over a five-month period. Johnson’s biggest win was $5.8 million during a 12-hour spree at Tropicana Casino and Resort in April — a record loss for the casino.

Johnson’s run of good luck, though, is keeping him out of some casinos. So far he’s been banned at two Las Vegas casinos and was turned away by Resorts and Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort in Atlantic City.

While these casinos may seem like sore losers, Johnson doesn’t seem to mind, because he’s got plans for when he’s no longer welome: horse racing.
