Beebe Medical Center receives $3-million gift

Southern Delaware’s Beebe Medical Center has received the largest gift in its 95-year history.

The Cape Gazette reports the donation of $3-million will go towards the expansion and renovation of the Beebe School of Nursing.  The family of Margaret Hastings Rollins recently announced the contribution, and the school will be named after her.  Margaret Hastings Rollins worked at the hospital as a young woman.  She now lives in Atlanta with her husband.  They also have a home in Lewes.  Construction on the expansion is expected to start in 2012.
