Be on the lookout for witches in Germantown this weekend

Dare to be scared?

The Ghost Tour of Philadelphia will present the second annual Witches Night Out, a “halfway to Halloween” Saturday night at Grumblethorpe, the Colonial-era summer home of the Wister family in Germantown.

Visitors will enjoy a 75-minute candlelight tour of the historic home and hear stories of its documented haunted history.

Guests will also be given the chance to use investigative ghost hunting gadgets.

The tour was listed in Frommers 2011 Budget Travel Magazine as a top 15 “must-see” attraction in America.

Tickets for this event are $19 per person (ages 13 and up only) and can be purchased by calling (215) 413-1997 or by visiting the event’s website.

Grumblethorpe is located at 5267 Germantown Ave.

NewsWorks will be at the event to describe what the witches did on their night out for readers who were unable to attend.
