Back to work

After an unexplained three-month suspension, Penns Grove-Carneys Point Regional School District’s superintendent is back to work. Dr. Joseph Massare returned to the district Monday.
Massare was suspended Sept. 22, and the decision was extended Dec. 6 with pay through yesterday. Today’s Sunbeam reports Massare is expected to debrief the board on his return at a Jan. 10 meeting, but no there’s been no talk of an explanation for his absence, which was described as a legal and personnel issue.
