Baby abandoned at Delaware trailer park
A 24 year old mother faces child endangering charges after police say she left her infant on a sidewalk at a Glasgow trailer park.
New Castle County Police were called to the Glasgow Court Trailer Park just after two Wednesday afternoon after a report of an abandoned baby. Police found the infant unbuckled inside a car seat. Other officers joined the search for the baby’s mother. They found Arms nearby on North Patrice Drive.
Police say she had left her baby after getting a phone call about a fight that was going to happen nearby.
The infant boy was admitted to Christiana Hospital for observation. The Delaware Division of Family Services now has custody of the child. Arms was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and released on $250 unsecured bail.
