Autumn-like weekend ahead at the Jersey Shore
A taste of fall is ahead this weekend at the Jersey Shore.
Under mostly sunny skies both days, high temperatures will only climb into the lower to middle 70s.
Depending on your location, the temperatures will be two to six degrees below normal, according to the National Weather Service.
Winds will be out of the northeast — off the ocean — between 10 and 13 miles per hour both days, keeping the beaches cool.
The cool and mainly dry conditions are courtesy of a Canadian high pressure system that will be building into the region over the weekend.
The National Weather Service says there’s a low risk of rip current development on Saturday, potentially increasing on Sunday. Plan for rough surf on Monday and Tuesday due to long duration onshore flow resulting from high pressure to the north and low pressure to the south.
