Atlantic City’s Pier Shops to be auctioned next month

After a five-and-a-half-year run, the Pier Shops at Caesars will be auctioned late next month.

The auction begins at 11 a.m. Oct. 28, the Press of Atlantic City reports, and staring bids have not been determined. Owner Taubman Centers Inc. owes lenders $149.7 million on the property.

The Pier Shops haven’t been saved by any of the efforts to revitalize A.C.’s economy, and most recently, bars Game On! and Trinity Irish Pub & Carvery closed unexpectedly over Labor Day weekend.
