Atlantic City Race Course taking last bets
Time is running out to place bets at Atlantic City Race Course. The racetrack in Mays Landing will close Friday after 69 years.
Bensalem, Pennsylvania-based Greenwood ACRA, which owns the track, said in a statement that it must close “due to continuous business decline in the industry, the current regional economic climate and the absence of alternative revenue opportunities.”
The track has been offering simulcast racing and customers have until Friday to cash their winning tickets at the track. After that, they can go to the company’s off-track betting site Favorite’s in Vineland.
The thoroughbred track in Mays Landing is one of four horse tracks in New Jersey.
