As blogging teacher returns, Central Bucks schools develop social media policy

The Central Bucks School Board is updating its Freedom of Speech in Nonschool Settings policy with some guidelines officials never thought they’d had to put in writing.

For example, staffers shouldn’t make disparaging remarks about students.

The policy update is in direct response to Central Bucks East teacher Natalie Munroe’s blog and her impending return to her old classroom, as Doylestown Patch reports.

Earlier this year, Munroe was suspended for insulting her students on a blog she said she never intended anyone to read.
