Appoquinimink High School presents spring musical, “Once on this Island”
“Once on this Island” is being presented for the first time in Delaware, as Appoquinimink High School presents its largest-ever spring musical.
It tells the story of a Caribbean romance between a poor peasant girl and the rich city boy she saves from death.” According to the Appoquinimink School District, “the action of the plot is shaped by the four gods of the island: Love (Erzulie), Earth (Asaka), Water (Agwe), and Death (Papa Ge) who help the girl in her quest to win his love against all odds.” Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 at the door. Doors open at Appoquinimink High School, 1080 Bunker Hill Road in Middletown, at 6:30 p.m. for performances at 7:00 p.m. tonight, Friday and Saturday. For information call 302-449-3840.
