Annual Doo-Wop Festival takes center stage at Penn’s Landing [photos]

    As the WHYY Connections Festival wound down Sunday, Doo-Wop bands took the stage at Penn’s Landing.

    The seventh annual Doo-Wop Festival brought out big names like Charlie Gracie, the Del-Satins and more.The free concert was a partnership with the Delaware River Waterfront Corp. and the Philadelphia Veterans Multi-Service & Education Center.

    Crowds gathered at the Great Plaza beneath a sunny sky in weather that was more fall than summer.
