The voices in smart speakers and smartphones are offering contradicting predictions on the Eagles’ chances of winning the Super Bowl.

Amazon’s Alexa, the electronic soothsayer, is Philadelphia-friendly.

“I’m flying with the Eagles on this one because of their relentless defense and the momentum they are riding on because of their underdog status,” says the device.

Alexa then gives an Eagles chant, albeit a stilted one.

And if you’re suspicious that only users in the Philly area are getting this response, we’ve confirmed Alexa is delivering the same news to Patriots fans in New England.

However Birds fans will not appreciate the answer Apple’s Siri gives to the same question.

“I’m hearing that the Patriots are favored to defeat the Eagles by five points,” she said.

Obviously Siri follows the odds-makers in Las Vegas.
