Air Force contract brings work to Lockheed’s Newtown facility

    A $21.5 million contract means more work for Lockheed Martin employees in Newtown Township and King of Prussia.

    PhillyBurbs reports Lockheed Martin’s Space System Co. has inked a deal with the U.S. Air Force for Lockheed’s ongoing work on GPS satellites. Under the new contract, Lockheed will develop a system to perform launch and early orbit activities of the next generation of satellites.

    Work will wrap up in 2020.
