Adler’s widow plans to run for his South Jersey congressional seat

Shelley Adler, the widow of former Democratic U.S. Rep. John Adler, says she plans to run for her late husband’s old seat.

NJ.com reports Shelly Adler intends to run for South Jersey’s 3rd District seat, now occupied by Republican Rep. John Runyan, who beat Adler in 2010.
    Adler died in the Spring.

It’s the second time in a week a New Jersey politician’s widow set her eyes on her late husband’s seat. Last week, Mary Lou DeCroce was chosen by state Republicans to replace former GOP Assembly leader Alex DeCroce, who died earlier this month.
