Childcare center secures Chestnut Hill’s prime retail spot

A childcare center plans to open in the former Borders Books location in Chestnut Hill. The Chestnut Hill Local reports that Children of America is the new tenant and that the daycare center could be open by March of 2012.

Children of America was founded in 1999 and is headquartered in Delray Beach, Florida and now operates in 12 states, which includes Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

The childcare center will be located at 8701 Germantown Avenue, which sits at the top of the Germantown Avenue. The spot has been empty since Borders Books left in January 2010.
