4th arrest in homeless man attack at laundromat

The fourth suspect sought by police in the brutal beating of a now-deceased homeless man is under arrest.

Reading police say 23-year-old Floyd Patterson was arrested Friday and is facing charges in the Jan. 11 assault, which was caught on surveillance video.

Three people have previously been arrested and charged in the case.

Police said 49-year-old Robert Mohler had been sleeping in a laundromat with the owner’s permission, when four people came in and repeatedly kicked and punched him, returning to attack him several more times.

Mohler suffered head and internal injuries and was treated at a hospital and released. He was found dead approximately a week later.

An autopsy was inconclusive as to whether his death was related to the injuries he suffered in the attack.
