Police seeking suspect in East Falls theft and fraud incident

Police are looking to locate a suspect wanted for a theft/fraud in East Falls. On July 26 between the hours of 10:40 a.m., and noon, an unknown person or persons gained entry into the complainant’s car by breaking the passenger side front window while parked on the 4300 block of Kelly Drive.

Once inside the suspect(s) took a wallet containing $30 in cash, personal identification, numerous credit cards, a bag of clothing and house keys valued at $1,600.

A short time later an individual and a vehicle were captured on surveillance video at the BP gas station located at 46th and Market streets using and allowing others to use the complainant’s credit cards to purchase gas without authorization totaling $300.

The suspect is described as a male of a unknown race with a medium complextion. He was last seen wearing a brown or dark colored short-sleeved shirt, blue jeans and dark-colored shoes.

The suspect was seen driving a circa-2003 GMC Savana Hi-top Explorer Limited Se Conversion Van.
