39th District: Two men shot outside a Chelten Ave. nightclub

Jan. 28 2011

4300 block Clarissa St. – complainant said he was shot in his right leg and grazed in the left leg at the listed location. Police took the complainant to the hospital where he was treated and released. Complainant did not see who shot him.

4200 N. Hicks St. – complainant said someone pushed his way into the back of the store and punched him in the right eye and chest. Offender ran off with $90.

 

Jan. 29 2011

3400 block Bowman St. – complainant said someone stole her IRS check from her mailbox between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.  Jan. 17. The check for more than $2000 was later cashed Jan. 21.

200 block W. Chelten Ave. – complainant said he and his brother were shot outside of a nightclub. Complainant said someone shot his brother while he was arguing with another man. When the complainant went to help him, the same man shot him. Offender fled in a black sedan filled with three passengers.

2700 block W. Allegheny Ave. – 1997 Buick Century stolen. Complainant said she last saw her car around 9 a.m. Jan. 28. When she returned the following morning it was gone.

2900 N. Bailey St. – Dell computer and a jar full of change and dollar bills stolen from the property. Complainant said he came home to find his back door pried open and every room in the house ransacked.

15th Street and Allegheny Ave. – complainant said someone robbed him and gunpoint and the listed location.  Complainant had in his front pants pocket an envelope containing $1500. Offender fled the scene on foot.

2000 block Bellevue St. – Playstation 3 game system and Sony Vaio laptop stolen from the property around 12:45 a.m. Jan. 30. Complainant said she had multiple guests over that night that were still there when she went to bed.

 

Jan. 31 2011

300 block Milne St. – five Comcast cable boxes and a Comcast internet box were stolen from the property. Complainant said the cable is in his name and the offender lives at the house.

N. 20th St. / W. Erie Ave. – Complainant said someone grabbed his Toshiba laptop from him and dashed down the street.

N. 23rd St. / W. Venango St. – 2001 Chevy Impala stolen. Complainant said someone stole her car after she fell down after exiting the vehicle. Offender sped off but was arrested two blocks away.

2500 block W. Cambria St. – 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser stolen and cell phone stolen. Complainant said two men approached them on the street and robbed them at gunpoint. Offenders fled with his car keys and cell phone, but when the complainant looked for his car it was missing.

N Broad St. / W. Allegheny Ave. – complainant said he was robbed at gunpoint by two men. The offenders ran off with his cell phone. Both offenders were later apprehended.

2900 block Judson St. – copper pipes and a tool saw set stolen from the property. Complainant said someone forced open a rear back window and left out the back door. The property is currently under construction.

2900 block N. Judson St. – complainant said her husband punched her in the face and threatened to kill her at gunpoint. Complainant said the incident occurred after she told her husband she had been to an abortion clinic.

2700 N. Broad St. – complainant said someone snatched her Droid cell phone from her hand on the train.

 

Jan. 01 2011

4700 block Wissahickon Ave. – desktop computer monitor, keyboard, power cable and webcam were stolen from the property. Complainant said the items were taken from a conference room. The property is an open cooperative and several people have access to the building.

1400 block Lenox Ave. – W-2 forms, $300 and Pa. license stolen from a 1999 Cadillac Catera. Complainant said the car was unlocked at the time.

4200 block Germantown Ave. – complainant said three men punched him in the face and head several times following a verbal dispute. Complainant was taken to the hospital.

1500 block W. Allegheny Ave. – complainant said an acquaintance threatened him with a handgun in the community center. Offender was arrested and taken to the Northwest Detectives Division.

2800 block W. Clearfield St. – 2005 Volkswagen Touareg stolen. Complainant said she left the vehicle to let it warm up and when she returned the car was gone. She said she did not lock the car after heading back inside.

 

Jan. 02 2011

100 block W. Abbottsford Ave.  – complainant said her mother struck her in the head with an unknown object following a verbal dispute. Complainant was taken to the hospital. Offender was arrested.

3200 block McMichael St. – complainant said someone robbed him at gunpoint after delivering a pizza at the location.

1700 block Saint Paul St. – complainant said her aunt hit her in the face with a rock that was inside a sock, her cousin bit her right pinky finger and the aunt’s boyfriend kicked her several times. All offenders were arrested. Complainant was taken to the hospital.

 

Jan. 03 2011

300 block W. Chelten Ave. – nine cartons of cigarettes stolen from the store. Complainant said someone got into an office, took the items and fled on a bike.

2900 N. Bambrey St. – Playstation, Wii game system, iPod, PSP and lock box stolen from the property. Complainant said she found a rear kitchen window pushed up with the screen cut out.

1500 block W. Glenwood Ave. – Louis Vuitton handbag and a car seat were stolen from a 2001 Buick LeSabre stolen.
