3400 block W. Queen Lane – 1996 Jeep Cherokee stolen while complainant was out of town for a funeral. Complainant’s brother, a neighbor, noticed the car was missing. Complainant’s nephew made the report.

March 4, 2011

5100 block Pulaski Ave. – pocketbook containing $600 and a book bag, kid clothes and shoes were stolen from a 1996 Nissan Altima.

400 block W. School House Lane – 1995 Oldsmobile Royale stolen.

 

March 5, 2011

5200 block Germantown Ave. – 2000 Saturn LS stolen. Complainant said her car was at a mechanic’s shop at the location. When she called to check on the car, she was told it was missing and that no one knew where it went.

4200 block Wayne Ave. – two men robbed a third man at gunpoint. Complainant said he threw $200 on the ground and ran when the offenders reached down to collect.

3200 block Broad St. – 1997 Jeep Wrangler stolen.

1800 block W. Hunting Park Ave. – police broke up a robbery involving several offenders attacking a woman. Officers were able to arrest two of the offenders. The others fled on foot. Complainant’s cell phone and keys were taken during the incident.

3800 block N. 17th St. – awning, drain pipe, and a railing were stolen from the property. Complainant said someone took the awning and drain pipe from the rear of the building and the railing from her front yard.

2700 block N. 24th St. – refrigerator, microwave oven, tools and clothing were stolen from the property.

 

March 6, 2011

4400 block Ridge Ave. – Apple iPod stolen from a car.

3100 block N. Bancroft St. – complainant said a bullet flew through her window and front door as she was sitting in her living room. Two shell casings were found five feet in front of the property.

2100 block W. Clearfield St. – complainant said someone placed an unknown pointed object at her back, forced her into an alley and attempted to rape her. The complainant maced the offender and got away.

 

March 7, 2011

3700 block Ridge Ave. – purse containing four gift cards, $30, a Blackberry and various IDs was stolen from a car. Complainant said she was at the gym at the time and that the owner told her the car’s front driver side window was broken. The items were taken from the trunk.

4100 block Tacoma St. – complainant said someone stole $300 from a bedroom bookshelf.

3600 block N. Broad St. – complainant said someone grabbed her from behind, punched her in the mouth and ran off with $500.

2100 block W. Venango St. – copper, work clothes, hard hats, work lights and a surge protector stolen from the location. The superintendent for the construction company there said the building is being renovated and that someone likely broke in over the weekend.

3900 block Alfred St. – new bathroom sink, two TV converters, a house phone and a VCR were stolen from the property. Complainant said someone pulled out the wood boards around a basement rear window in order to enter the location.

3900 block N. 17th St. – DVD player, cable box, two CD players, stereo and two camcorders were stolen from the property. Complainant said someone broke the kitchen door window to enter to location.

2900 block Clearfield St. – 1994 Cadillac Fleetwood stolen. Complainant said the car broke down in the morning. When he returned that night, the vehicle was gone.

3400 block W. Queen Lane – 1996 Jeep Cherokee stolen while complainant was out of town for a funeral. Complainant’s brother, a neighbor, noticed the car was missing. Complainant’s nephew made the report.

4600 block Newhall St. – 2002 BMW 740I stolen.

4200 block Kelly Drive – 1997 Acura Integra stolen.

 

March 9, 2011

4900 block Pulaski St. – complainant said two acquaintances entered the house through an unlocked front door and raped her. The offenders fled the scene with a laptop they took from a rear bedroom.

2800 block N. Van Pelt St. – complainant said a stranger shot him in the chest and right arm after knocking on the complainant’s door and asking his name. The offender fled on foot in an unknown direction. Complainant was taken to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.

 

March 10, 2011

3200 W. Allegheny Ave. – clothing, silverware and picture frames were stolen from the property. Complainant said someone took the items from a garage after unscrewing a lock.

4000 block Broad St. – 1998 Chevy Malibu stolen. Complainant said she left the vehicle at the location to be repaired.

1700 block W. Hunting Park Ave. – Panasonic laptop and a digital camera stolen from a 2006 Mazda.

1700 block W. Hunting Park Ave. – two rings and various DVDs stolen from the property. Complainant said the items were stolen from her deceased mother’s apartment. There were no signs of a forced entry.
