April 5: 3200 McMichael St. – complainant said someone shot at him while he was driving at the location. Complainant said he escaped the incident without injury, but two of the car’s tires were shot flat.

April 1, 2007

4000 block Ridge Ave. – handgun, bracelet and a gold ring stolen from the property between 4:18 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Complainant said items were taken from a rear bedroom after someone forced open the front door.

300 block W. Abbotsford Ave. – complainant said someone ransacked her apartment between 12-5 p.m. and stole $350 from a sneaker box. There were no signs of a forced entry. Complainant said the front door does not properly lock.

3100 block Henry St. – a teacher at the Randolph Skills Center said a student threw a calculator that struck him in the face. The student was arrested and taken to the Northwest Detectives Division.

400 block Harvey St. – mountain bike stolen from the property between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Complainant said someone entered by breaking a garage door window.

1700 block W. Butler St. – three men robbed a grocery store. The offenders entered at around 8 p.m. and announced they were robbing the store. Two of the men had handguns. Cash and tobacco products were taken from the store. The group ran off with $1200, three boxes of Black & Mild cigars, two boxes of Backwoods cigars, six boxes of Dutch Master cigars and 40 packs of cigarettes.

W Erie Ave. / N Sydenham St. – Tom-Tom GPS and an iPod Touch stolen from a 2002 Acura TL between 8:30-10:45 a.m. March 31.

2900 block N. Marston St. – 1989 Ford E150 stolen. Complainant said she parked the car at the location and went on vacation.

April 2, 2011

3300 block W. Allegheny Ave. – saxophone, mouth piece and a clarinet stolen from a 2011 Toyota Camry at around 11:50 a.m. April 2.  Complainant said he left the trunk open.

400 block W. Bringhurst St. – brown toolbox with various hand tools and a DeWalt 14V cordless hand drill stolen from the property between 10 a.m. March 26 and 9 a.m. April 2.

2100 block W. Tioga St. – complainant said someone stole $400 from his pants pocket. He said he lives in a group home and that other people have access to his area.

April 3, 2011

3600 block Calumet St. – 40” Sanyo flat screen TV, Wii game system, back pack and an unknown amount of change stolen from the property between 12 p.m. April 2 and 2 a.m. April 3. Complainant said he came home to find the back door kicked in.

1800 block W. Allegheny Ave. – police arrived at the scene around 10:28 p.m. April 3 after a call of a man being shot in the street. Complainant told police that an unknown man shot him. Complainant was taken to the hospital and was listed in critical condition.

April 4, 2011

5400 block Wissahickon Ave. – stereo and speakers stolen from a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer between 10 p.m. April 3 and 9:50 a.m. April 4.

3500 block Sunnyside Ave. – copper pipes, wire and tools stolen from the property between 4 p.m. April 1 and 7 a.m. April 2.

4200 Wissahickon Ave. – 2005 Hyundai trailer stolen between 8 p.m. April 1 and 4:30 a.m. April 4.

2400 block W. Tioga St. – police responded to a call that someone had taken copper piping from the building. A witness told police he saw three men take the items. Police later stopped a 1991 Dodge Ram that contained a few pieces of pipe. A man was arrested and taken to the Northwest Detectives Division.

2700 block N Hemberger St. – 2003 Chevy Malibu stolen between 5-7 p.m.

April 5, 2011

2800 block W. Queen Lane – saws and nail guns stolen from the property between 6:30 p.m. April 4 and 7 a.m. April 5. Complainant said the property is under construction and several first floor windows were found unlocked.  Complainant said several contractors have been working at the site. There were no signs of a forced entry.

3200 McMichael St.  – complainant said someone shot at him while he was driving at the location. Complainant said he escaped the incident without injury, but two of the car’s tires were shot flat.

4100 block Wayne Ave. – 2004 Kia Optima stolen sometime after 7 p.m. April 4.

1500 block W. Venango St. – complainant said someone broke into his 2006 Acura TL and stole $600 from the middle console.

April 6, 2011

400 block W. Rittenhouse St. – mountain bike stolen from outside of the property between 2-4:30 a.m. April 6.

5400 block Pulaski Ave. – various tools were stolen from a 2002 Dodge truck. Complainant said the offender was in front of him in a line at the store. When the complainant exited the store, he saw the man reaching into the bed of his vehicle and take a black tool box. The offender then ran down Pulaski Avenue.

1700 block Erie Ave. – complainant said someone snatched her iPhone while she was riding on a bus and the offender ran off the bus.

1900 block W. Erie Ave. – 1997 Honda Accord stolen between 3:15-3:30 p.m, April 6. Complainant said he saw his car parked outside and fifteen minutes later it was gone.

April 7, 2011

1600 block Pike St. – complainant said two men approached him while he was starting up his car and stole a suitcase containing items valued at $1,000. Complainant said the offenders were standing in an alleyway when he got to his car. One grabbed the suitcase from the backseat of the car. One of the offenders also flattened the front tire and fled on foot.

4100 block N. 16th St. – T-Mobile cell phone and $200 taken from a 1990 Honda.

2900 block W. Clearfield St. – a student said she was approached by a group of fellow students who tried to jump her. She said someone threw a brick that struck her in the face.
