New Castle CountyDelaware Contemporary Dance Theatre, July 9th

The Delaware Contemporary Dance Theatre presents a stirring and inspiring concert. Exploring the dynamics of social, emotional and spiritual issues through exciting and breath taking choreography. Works by Gary Jeter, Christopher Huggins and company director Chauntee D. Andrews. The Grand Opera House, Wilmington.

The Uncle Devin Show, July 13th

The Uncle Devin Show is an interactive musical experience for children that uses percussion instruments to cultivate their minds.Corbit-Calloway Memorial Library, Odessa.

 

Kent County

Jimi Smooth and Hit Time, July 9th

Based in the Washington DC area, they have a huge following in the Chesapeake Bay and Ocean Beach areas in DC and Maryland but have traveled all over the East Coast. The band has performed at the White House for a Christmas Party and for the Washington Redskins, the Washington Wizards and the Washington Nationals. Schwartz Center for the Arts, Dover.

 

Downton Abbey, July 14th

Join Dowager Countess Lady Grantham (portrayed by Alisa Dupuy) as we discuss Edwardian England and the extraordinary changes that were brought about by WWI. Enjoy her acerbic wit and commentaries on fashion. Kent County Public Library, Dover.

 

Sussex County

The Wizard of Oz, July 12th

The all-time favorite family play returns to the RSCT schedule. In this two actor production the girl plays Dorothy and the guy plays everyone else. All the familiar characters take the stage: the brainless scarecrow, the cowardly lion, the tinman, witches good & wicked and, of course, the wizard. It’s a tour de force performance sure to amaze and delight! Epworth United Methodist Church, Rehoboth Beach.
