2015 Chestnut Hill Home & Garden Festival photos

For the past 20 years the first Sunday of May Germantown Avenue in Chestnut Hill turns into an outdoor garden marketplace between Rex and Willow Grove Avenues. Local shops, garden vendors, artists, craftsmen and jewelers display their wares to families and art enthusiasts that fill the streets at this annual event. This year’s event was held on Sunday, May 3, 2015.

Kate O’Neill, deputy director of the Chestnut Hill Business Association says it was the civic members, business owners and neighbors who were looking for ideas to draw more people to Chestnut Hill that came up with an idea for a Home & Garden Festival. “It was always this place that was special but that the greater region didn’t know about, so they though a festival would open it up to a wider region, and in fact that has happened” she said.
