1800 block W. Cheltenham Ave. – a man was murdered. Police found the complainant laying face down by his young son with a knife wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead at 8:33 a.m. The complainant’s son said his father was alive between 12-8 a.m. July 12.

July 6, 2011

6400 block Belfield Ave. – prison keys, prison portfolio, iPod Nano, GPS charger and more stolen from a 2006 Nissan Altima.

2000 block 68th Ave. – complainant said a known offender struck her right thigh with his car while she was pulling weeds near the curb. She said the offender got out of his car, laughed and headed into his home.

1900 block E. Washington Lane – police found a man with a gunshot wound to his left arm. Complainant was taken to the hospital.

4600 block Germantown Ave. – complainant said someone set her vacant garage on fire.

Unit block E. Pastorius St. – three TVs, three computers, PS3 game system, Panasonic speakers and an iPod Touch stolen from the property.

Unit block E. Chelten Ave. – complainant said someone stole his cell phone and wallet. He said he had a seizure at the location and that the items were missing afterwards.

7000 block Lincoln Drive – SS card and an American Express card were stolen from the property. She said several transactions were made on the credit card.

6500 block Greene St. – power tools, hand tools and clothing stolen from a 2001 Chevy 2500.

6100 block Germantown Ave. – complainant said someone stole $2500 from her pocketbook.

9600 block Germantown Ave. – complainant said someone stole a wallet from the security desk at the location.

 

July 7, 2011

5600 block Sprague St. – motorcycle and helmet stolen.

E. Upsal St. / Forrest Ave. – complainant said a man grabbed her iPhone out of her hand and fled on foot.

7100 block N. Uber St. – AM/FM/DVD receiver, 7″ touch screen monitor and two CDs were stolen from a 2005 Dodge Magnum.

E. Upsal St. / Templte St. – 2004 Nissan Maxima was stolen.

6700 block Woolston Ave. – copper pipes, refrigerator, radiator, sink and a heater stolen from the property.

6600 block Sprague St. – complainant said someone took the tops off of four dryers in an attempt to steal the money from each machine. Complainant said the dryers were destroyed in the process.

200 block E. Bringhurst St. – a building was set on fire.

400 block E. Washington Lane – copper pipes were stolen from the property. There were no signs of a forced entry.

Germantown Ave. / W. Phil-Ellena St. – complainant said someone stole $400 from her purse.

4600 block Germantown Ave. – wallet containing an SS card, a driver’s license, two bank cards and a T-Mobile Blackberry cell phone were stolen from a 1994 Volvo 850.

1000 block Hazelwood Drive – 8-foot ladder, 6-foot ladder, tool bag, snake camera and various tools stolen from a trailer between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m. June 29.

 

July 8, 2011

72nd Ave. / E. Walnut Lane – complainant said an unknown offender fired about eight shots at him, three of which hit the complainant’s truck. Complainant said the man had previously followed the complainant and that when he reached for his cell phone the offender fled and fired his gun.

Unit block E. Chelten Ave. – complainant said her boyfriend bit her left hand and forearm and took her Metroid Android cell phone. The man was later identified and arrested.

700 block E. Haines St. – complainant said three men robbed him at gunpoint. Offenders fled with the complainant’s cell phone.

600 block Church Lane – Compaq hard drive and monitor stolen from the property’s storage room.

6100 block Belfield Ave. – complainant said her ex-boyfriend raped her.

400 block E. Chelten Ave. – Dell laptop stolen from a vehicle.

500 block E. Washington Lane – two flat screen TVs, laptop computer, coffee machine and jewelry stolen from the property. Complainant said she noticed the items were missing the day after she had a group of people over.

600 block Naomi St. – $200 in coins and several bottles of wine were stolen from the property.

6600 block Germantown Ave. – complainant said three men mugged her. Complainant said one of the offenders grabbed her Blackberry cell phone. Another offender ripped out the complainant’s hair. The trio fled the scene on foot.

N. Mt. Pleasant Ave. / Mansfield Ave. – 2003 Lincoln LS was stolen between 11:30 p.m. and 3 a.m. July 8.

 

July 9, 2011

1900 block Penfield St. – Cricket cell phone stolen from a 2004 Ford Expedition. Complainant said the doors were unlocked at the time.

7300 block Rugby St. – 1999 Saturn stolen.

Unit block E. Hortter St. – complainant said a known offender cut him on his left arm with a knife during a dispute. Offender also stole $50 from the complainant.

1100 block Sydney St. – two Sony digital cameras, $1500 in cash and set of house keys were stolen from the property between 9-11:50 p.m. July 8.

900 block Sydney St. – 1991 Honda Civic stolen between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m. July 8.

 

July 10, 2011

1300 block E. Washington Lane – three men robbed a Rite-Aid at gunpoint. The offenders ran off with $3,000 from a store safe along with cigarettes, cigars and lottery tickets.

Chelten Ave. / E. Wister St. – MyTouch 4G cell phone stolen from a 1995 Toyota Camry. Complainant said the windows were down at the time.

5800 block Baynton St. – complainant said her sister’s husband struck him in the head with a bag with a bottle inside during a dispute. The offender then stomped his feet all over the complainant. Offender was arrested on scene. Complaiant was taken to the hospital.

Germantown Ave. / W. Coulter St. – complainant said he was shot in his right leg as he fled from a man who tried to mug him. Offender fled on foot. Complainant was taken to the hospital.

Chew Ave. / E. Washington Lane – complainant said four men approached him and asked him for $3. One of the offenders struck the complainant in the face with a handgun. The offenders then followed the complainant, who drove away after the incident. That chase ended with an accident and the offenders shooting at the complainant.

Unit block W. Upsal St. – complainant said she was sitting in her rear yard when someone began shooting a gun. She said some of the bullets struck the rear of her home.

6500 block Berdan St. – complainant said his vehicle was involved in a shooting. He said his car also struck another vehicle during the incident. Complainant and another person fled the vehicle after the crash.

100 block W. Mermaid Lane – Blackberry, two iPods and a Tom-Tom GPS stolen from a 1998 Gold Lexus.

Unit block Valley Green Road – complainant said someone in a group of offenders stabbed him once in the stomach and twice n the left side. Complainant said the group surrounded him following a dispute involving women in the park. Complainant was taken to the hospital.

 

July 11, 2011

700 block E. Phil-Ellena St. – complainant said a known offender slammed the trunk of his vehicle on her arm during a dispute. Complainant said she swung at the offender before the incident. The offender took the complainant’s car after the fight and parked it in an unknown location.

6900 block N. 19th St. – keys to a 2000 Nissan Maxima, two pocketbooks, TSA badge, TSA card, earrings and more were stolen from the property between 2-5 a.m. July 13. There were no signs of a forced entry.

7700 block Crittenden St. – 80 cans of Gerber formula stolen from a Pathmark supermarket.

 

July 12, 2011

1500 block E. Walnut Lane – 1998 Cadillac Deville stolen.

200 block E. Price St. – complainant said someone took her dog – a Shih Tzu– from her porch

300 block E. Rittenhouse St. – 1995 Chevy Tahoe stolen.

Unit block E. Pastorius St. – complainant said a man pointed a handgun at him and told him not to move. The complainant then ran into his backyard and the offender and another man fled the scene.

9400 block Meadowbrook Ave. – Mac computer and bag stolen from a 2010 Audi.
