$14 million Kimmel Center project revamps roof garden, brings new restaurant

What’s in store for the renovated Kimmel Center?

A rooftop garden that won’t make you sweat in the summer and a new restaurant from Jose Garces. Those, in addition to an acoustics adjustment at Verizon Hall, make up a $14 million project to make the center more inviting.

The Inquirer has a feature story today on the project, which is funded in part by a state grant. Other projects are on tap, but the ones in the works now are expected to bring in more revenue.
