Hundreds of demonstrators marched through Philadelphia Tuesday afternoon and into the evening to show their solidarity with protesters in Ferguson, Missouri.

About 400 people assembled at City Hall Tuesday, then threaded north to Temple University to express their frustrations over the grand jury decision not to indict a white Ferguson police officer in the death of Michael Brown.

The peaceful protest followed an outpouring in Center City Monday night after the announcement that Officer Darren Wilson would not face charges.

WHYY’s Tom MacDonald spoke with Dave Heller as the crowd wound its way through the city’s Fairmount section.
