Ken Downey Jr., the managing editor of WHYY News’ Delaware desk, is a seasoned journalist and editor who has worked in news for the past decade. Downey has experience managing publications in local markets throughout suburban New Jersey, as well as online medical news outlets. He received a Master of Liberal Arts in Journalism from Harvard University’s Extension School in May 2023. Before that, he graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Media Studies in December 2017. Downey lives in South Jersey with his wife, Lauren, and their three cats.
