Knight Media Forum

Watch live on February 25 and 26.

The Knight Media Forum in Miami is the most important and eagerly anticipated annual gathering of leaders in journalism, technology, philanthropy and the community, who will meet in Miami to explore ways to strengthen local news coverage and our nation’s democracy.

Presented by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the conference’s agenda this year will spotlight the people and projects working to address these challenges, highlighting innovative experiments in local journalism, insights for foundations on investing in accountability reporting, finding and funding minority-led media innovation projects and more.

Among the leading thinkers headlining the 2020 Knight Media Forum are Univision Anchor Jorge Ramos, New York Times Publisher A.G. Sulzberger and technology journalist Kara Swisher.

The conference will include deep discussions on topics including the growing challenge of hateful content online, emerging models for local journalism and ways to amplify underrepresented community voices in the media. Plus taking a look at how to meet information needs in rural communities, finding and funding media innovators in communities of color and the latest research on why people give to news organizations.
