What’s ahead for Chris Christie

Listen 00:49:19

Guests: Tom Moran, Kate Zernike

Chris Christie threw his support behind Trump during the primary season.  The New Jersey governor was out of the presidential race, embroiled in the Bridgegate scandal and his popularity in the his home state had plummeted.  Could the once seemingly doomed political career be resuscitated with Trump’s victory?  On Friday, Christie was demoted from chairman of the president-elect’s transition team to vice-chair with Mike Pence replacing him.  With the Bridgegate scandal still looming over him and with a New Jersey Senate Majority Leader calling for impeachment hearings — what does his future hold?  This hour we take a look at Chris Christie, the Bridgegate fallout, and what Trump’s presidency might mean for the governor.  Our guests are TOM MORAN, editorial page editor for The Star-Ledger and KATE ZERNIKE, national correspondent for The New York Times.
