    The U.S. economy lost 263,000 jobs in September, with the national unemployment rate edging up to 9.8 percent. At the same time, most economists say the overall economy rebounded about 3 percent over the summer. And that has put the words “jobless recovery” on many people’s lips. We’ll talk about just what that really means, whether jobs will rebound anytime soon, and what, if anything, the government can and should be doing about it.
