Should we lease the PA Turnpike?

    Should the PA Turnpike be leased out? Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell has proposed that we lease the heavily used toll road to a private contractor for 75 years. In exchange, the State would get a lump sum of 12.8 Billion dollars to use for road maintenance around the state. We’ll debate this with ROY KIENITZ the deputy chief of staff for the Governor and TIM CARSON the Vice Chairman of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission who is opposed to the idea.
