REBROADCAST – MAXWELL TAYLOR KENNEDY – Danger’s Hour

    [Rebroadcast] On the morning of May 11th, 1945 the USS Bunker Hill was hit and severely damaged by two kamikaze pilots. 346 men were killed, 43 missing, and 264 wounded. The story is described in a new book by MAXWELL TAYLOR KENNEDY called, “Danger’s Hour: The Story of the USS Bunker Hill and the Kamikaze Pilot Who Crippled Her.” Kennedy shows both the American side and Japanese sides of the story, and finds through his interviews and research, parallels of modern-day suicide bombers.
